Core Values and Guiding Principles

Desiring to be faithful stewards with all God has entrusted us, we seek to be led by the Holy Spirit in all we do. We acknowledge our utter dependence on God for achieving the task he has called us to do. And in light of this, we humbly acknowledge our inability to fully complete this task. We prayerfully seek:

1. To be attentive to the leading of the Holy Spirit in all we are involved in around the world, recognizing that it is God who is the Lord of the harvest. Our role is to follow where the Spirit leads, seeking to subject our intentions to God's will and plan; discernment in sensing how the Spirit is moving around the world and "getting on board."
2. To take calculated risks when funding a ministry or project. To have an entrepreneurial spirit and encourage creativity and risk-taking in ministry. To stimulate innovative thinking and resourceful practices.
3. To truly partner with ministries as people as well as organizations. This partnership entails mutual respect, a commitment to pray for one another, helping one another to critically evaluate our ministries and direction, and honesty.
4. To realize that we are supporting people more so than organizations or the problems they address. This perspective entails a focus on relationship building, mutual respect, honesty, a commitment to prayer and an affirmation of each other's part in the Great Commission.
5. To show our support for our ministry partners through interpersonal contact, visitation, correspondence and prayer.
6. To be an encourager to those in our sphere of influence, both those in development roles and other U.S. donor-relations individuals and organizations. To recognize all are valued in the body of Christ. We desire to empower and encourage those involved in stewardship by how we do what we do.
